1. Who we are
This site is operated by Numera Younus, an individual practitioner based in Karachi, Pakistan, trading as The Amanah Projects. For the purposes of this policy, Numera Younus is the person responsible for deciding how and why your personal information is processed (the "data controller").
Contact: salam@theamanahprojects.com
2. Information we collect
We only collect information through the following channels currently active on this site. We do not collect anything beyond what each tool below gathers.
a) Booking a call (Calendly)
When you book a free call via the "Book a Call" link, you are taken to Calendly, a third-party scheduling service. Calendly collects your name, email address, and any details you choose to add in the booking form. Calendly's own privacy policy governs how that information is stored on their systems; we receive your booking details (name, email, appointment time, and any notes you leave) in order to prepare for and conduct the call.
b) The Self-Audit
The Hāl al-Nafs Self-Audit collects your responses to its diagnostic questions and your email address, so that your results can be sent to you and so that we can follow up about the programme.
c) Newsletter sign-up
If you subscribe to receive updates, we collect your email address (and name, if provided) to send you emails about the programme, upcoming cohorts, and related content. [CONFIRM: name of email service provider used, e.g. Mailchimp/ConvertKit/other, so this section can name it and link to its policy.]
d) Analytics — Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site — pages visited, time on site, general location (city/country level), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site (e.g. from Instagram or a search engine). This is aggregated, statistical information used to improve the site; it is not used to identify you personally.
e) Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel
We use the Meta Pixel to understand how visitors interact with this site after seeing our Instagram or Facebook content, and to measure and improve our advertising. Meta may use this data, combined with data from your Facebook/Instagram account if you have one, in accordance with Meta's own data policy. You can control this through your Facebook/Instagram ad preferences.
f) Direct contact
If you email us directly, we collect whatever information you include in that email (typically your name, email address, and the content of your message) to respond to you.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to enquiries and schedule calls
- To deliver Self-Audit results and related follow-up
- To administer enrolment in Tarbiyah al-Nabī and 1:1 coaching, including coordinating manual bank-transfer payment (see Terms)
- To send programme updates and marketing communications, where you have subscribed or otherwise consented, and to let you unsubscribe at any time
- To understand and improve how the site is used (analytics)
- To meet legal or record-keeping obligations, where applicable
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not use your information for any purpose beyond what is described in this policy without asking you first.
4. Our legal basis for processing
Because visitors to this site come from many countries and Pakistan does not yet have a dedicated data protection statute, we apply the following bases as a matter of good practice, consistent with international standards such as the GDPR framework, even where not strictly mandated locally:
- Consent — for newsletter sign-ups, the Self-Audit, and cookies/tracking that are not strictly necessary for the site to function
- Contractual necessity — for processing needed to schedule and deliver a call, coaching session, or the programme you've enrolled in
- Legitimate interest — for basic site analytics used to understand and improve the service
5. Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers that help us run the site and the programme, and only to the extent needed for them to provide that service:
| Service | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Calendly | Scheduling calls | Name, email, booking details |
| Google Analytics | Site usage statistics | Anonymised/aggregated usage data |
| Meta (Facebook/Instagram) | Advertising measurement | Pixel/behavioural data per Meta's policy |
| Email service provider | Newsletter delivery | Email address, name |
We do not share your information with any other third party for their own marketing purposes. We may disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Numera Younus, The Amanah Projects, or others.
6. Cookies and tracking
This site uses cookies set by Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel to recognise your browser across visits and measure site and ad performance. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time; doing so may affect how some parts of the site behave but will not prevent you from accessing the content.
7. How long we keep information
[CONFIRM: retention period — e.g. "for as long as you remain subscribed/enrolled, plus X years for record-keeping" — this needs to be a real figure rather than one Claude selects for you.] Where you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, we will do so within a reasonable time, except where we are required to retain records (for example, financial records related to a payment).
8. International data transfers
Because we use Calendly, Google Analytics, and Meta, some of your information is processed on servers located outside Pakistan (typically in the United States or the European Union), under each provider's own security and privacy safeguards.
9. Your rights and choices
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Delete your information, subject to any legal retention requirements
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails (also available via the unsubscribe link in any email we send)
- Object to your data being used for analytics or advertising, including by adjusting your browser or ad-platform settings
To make any of these requests, email salam@theamanahprojects.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
10. Children's privacy
This site and its services are intended for adults — specifically, parents and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us, including relying on the security measures of the reputable third-party providers listed above. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we start using a new tool or service. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do. Significant changes will be reflected here; we encourage you to check back periodically.

Questions about this policy or how your information is handled can be sent to salam@theamanahprojects.com.
This policy is provided as a plain-language reference and does not constitute legal advice. Given that Pakistan's data protection legislation is still in draft form and enforcement practice is still developing, you may wish to have this reviewed by a Pakistani lawyer before publishing, particularly regarding payment-record retention and any future use of international payment processors.
